Soho is the working title of my project and comes from the phrase 'small office home office'. My work explores a domestic environment with a modern day dwelling in the urban context, and the ever increasing effect of telecommuting in our daily lives. How can we separate work behaviour and leisure activities in our home through mental and physical actions, and how could my products emphasise these rituals? How should modern day furniture respond to challenges for the ever-growing amount of technology that is imbedded to our life and home environment? Today many of us live and work in 'hybrid spaces', so I am exploring possibilities of 'hybrid objects' that could minimise the need for objects that are used in this specific situation or space scenario. My work is a collection of objects that can be used as single add-ons to existing space, or as a system of products which can be transformed in to different setups in home and office.
