Seeing Blue
My work is informed by the flow between two worlds – reality and imaginary, underwater realm. I create objects which are functional as jewellery or eyewear but they also carry the traces from the ‘other’ world.
Seeing Blue is a range of glass eyewear designs which enable the wearer to experience underwater vision while being on the land as a metaphor for seeing differently.
Jewellery collection ‘Subterrain Rivers’ transforms fictional maps into chain neckpieces. For this collection I developed an innovative technique of fusing glass and Swarovski crystals with metals. Â

I am a Czech jeweller, living and working in the UK. I am interested in the expressive potential of materials and their use in the field of jewellery. I like to combine materials in unexpected ways and develop my own techniques. My recent research is concerned with glass–metal connections.
