Miles Dunphy

Elsa Ellies and I are the very first design duo to present a Master's collection as a collective within Fashion at the RCA.

Together we bring to life our vision, ONEBYME, an outcome of two worlds colliding to create the unexpected, the birth of a new genre.

ONEBYME addresses the ever so changing social, political and economic landscape through the re-building of a new fashion system that embraces a cradle-to-cradle approach to design. Ultimately, we design with the afterlife in mind.

Each garment in the collection was crafted by cutting ONE piece of cloth.

We wanted to create fluidity around the human form to allow movement and absolute freedom to the individual living in our garments.  Although our ONE pieced patterns break all the rules of conventional pattern cutting, we remain respectful of old school tailoring principles through the careful consideration of garment details and its construction.

Stripping away the unnecessary through razor sharp pattern cutting, coupled with bold approaches to textile development, we commence our dialogue with individuals who embody a fearlessness in pursuing their dreams.

For us, beauty is honest.  

It is about creating poetic narratives that capture individuals doing what they love.  

What unites us is passion.  

It is the unseen emotion that drives us to be authentic, genuine and just uniquely us.

We believe fashion deserves our form of raw, candid, honesty.
