What does the photographic image house? Should we squint to shut down upon its illuminated projection and succumb to its alterity, or stare wide open and fill its brilliance with our own imaginative contributions? I favour an in-between state, a compression of photographic depiction and human imagination.

Borrowing domesticity as a visual language, we cannot but relate to and feel some kind of familiarity with the scenes presented to us. But in their stillness we experience a departure, a transience, a disappearance in action. Unintelligible echoes are those which resonate throughout these spaces, their story felt, but left untold.
