Fine silver and pink stoneIllusion or Real Pendant, Megumi Toyokawa
Fine silver and pink stone
My works are devices that are aimed to raise curiosity with the feelings of ‘surprise’, ‘difference’ and ‘variation’. The utter beauty that is born by the interaction between the reflection and the light allures one to the world of illusion from reality. This, thus, raises the question of ‘what is the value of the visual senses?’ Through experimentations with various materials, my works have taken various forms through the interaction between expectation and accident. My works are representations of my suggestion; my sense of beauty has come from my curiosity about craft, technology, and precious and non-precious materials.
