• The UK’s landfill issue has forced people to look at waste in a different way. What was previously disposed of is starting to be perceived as a valuable resource. Organic waste is a huge emitter of greenhouse gases if left to decompose inside landfills. If treated properly, a controlled decomposition of this waste can yield bio-gas (ergo energy), and also recycle the nutrients originally used to grow these plants back into the food cycle.

  If waste is such a valuable resource, how can we redesign our relationship with it?

  I intend to change the way we perceive dealing with food waste, from a disgusting and repulsive experience to a beneficial and desirable one.
