Both my RCA films are concerned with the repeating patterns in our lives, both visually as well as in their narrative.
In August a group of teenagers on holiday endeavour to break out of the neat, grid-like order of their campsite.
Lovebirds is a film about the rigid organisation of living space and time in a future world, and about its inhabitants’ attempts to find a niche for their personal needs within this structure.
As a filmmaker, I am interested in the search for meaning in times that are perceived as uneventful, and the remote relationships between different lives that share the same space.
