Seat, Matthew Croft
At the RCA I've had the chance to experiment and become more open-minded. The projects I've taken on since coming here have been user- and scenario- focused, based around new materials, emerging markets or social trends. They have focused on the idea and concept development, in proportion to developing the vehicles themselves, helping everything to simply make sense. This new outlook has fed into this year's work which focuses on recycled materials but also places them in the context of people; so I'm not just styling the same old box.
