MA work
MA work
My work is an awkward attempt to reconcile the conservative values of rural Northern Ireland with the exuberant hedonism of mid-twenith century San Francisco and Fire Island.
The foundation of this inspiration is a photo album of my mother’s family from the 1970s, and the Martin-Parr-esque bleakness that lies behind the rose- tinted naiveté. The result is an artificial landscape combining all these elements into an imagined homoerotic utopia.
