Driven by the idea that — as designers — we can influence our surroundings, I am interested in investigating how we can make an emotional connection between the user and an everyday object. Furthermore, I am looking into the possibilities for contemporary craft to step inside our homes and communicate traditions that are starting to disappear. In my work, I am using design as an ambassador for Bulgarian craft. What fascinates me the most is the carpet-making tradition dating from the seventeenth century, with its specific weaving process and unique patterns.
