MA work
By re-presenting and re-framing discordant genres of images, and relocating them into new systems, the work considers the appropriation of authorship and the distribution of images. This attempts to defetishise the relationship between an artwork, its context, value and the condition of reception.

The unbalanced juxtapositions within the photographs, but also the form of repetition, express the inability of images to present defined meaning.

This decontextualisation aims to show an ubiquitous use of the image, while leaving doubt, even confusion, in the intention of the work.
