Maria Anastassiou

MA work

I am interested in constant experiments with form and material, and creating visual experiences that are more about seeing than fully understanding.

Working with film and its intrinsic potential as a material, I use found footage as a surface on which to interfere. I’m especially interested in non-fictional films left from the golden era of 16mm film, and their availability today.
