For this project Indian architectural structures, mainly Hindu temples were the source of inspiration. It is full of relief work, craftsmanship and patterns. I am interested in representing these three-dimensional structures and patterns through drawings, creating optical illusion/trompe l'oeil designs within space.

Fragments of distortion have been added to the real to create a series of ornate wallpaper designs, which challenge scale, space and perspective. The large-scaled wallpaper designs have the potential to be developed into wall paintings and large-scale projections.

Amalgamating Indian architectural patterns within my current western minimalist architectural environment, merges different forms of architectural styles. This creates a visual impression and adds to the contrasting nature of my work, and to the optical experience.
