Puntellare

A new way of communicating disasters is needed that can impact new audiences, based on a better understanding, and critique, of what I call ‘synthetic empathy’. My project addresses the 2009 earthquake in L'Aquila, Italy, to illustrate the tensions in how we frame disasters.

My background is in architecture, spatial design and experience design, focused on human-centred issues. I am interested in using design methods to inform new solutions to disasters.
