The Insatiables
‘The Insatiables’ is a knitwear collection with a conceptual focus on the designer growing up as an androgynous boy and what this means.
The ambiguous feeling of a space in-between is explored with fading patterns and ombre fabrics reflecting a fading in and out of sexes. Further exploration of traditional menswear shapes that bear more feminine features, such as kilts and oxford bag trousers, have also informed the collection's style and silhouette.
Reflecting on the current mood within youth culture and society on gender roles and a hedonistic life style, ‘The Insatiables' is the designer's take on the demimonde, quoting from the book The Dreamers by Gilbert Adair.
