On Not Understanding
An essay on the problem of the conveyance of understanding in contemporary and modern culture — exploring how finding meaning in art has been theorised both by writers and artists, and the ways in which artists can prevent, distort or delay understanding. And — subsequently — how not understanding something is not always a failure of understanding.
