Urban Rambler

This knitwear collection explores a world of disconnect between a bohemian culture and a city woman. Inspired by a collision of found materials in the works of Anselm Kiefer, the Urban Rambler knitwear merges soft and luxurious knits with tangled synthetic ribbons culminating in rich and wearable textures. With references to the notoriously effortless women photographed by Peter Lindbergh, the Urban Rambler is able to seamlessly exist in the fashionable world.

  • There is a constant fluidity in my work from concept through to final product that stems from my love of building concepts and initial sketching. The RCA has given me time to mature my passion for the development stage of my design work as for each project a conversation builds between the two dimensional, the knit development and the three dimensional toiling on the stand.

I believe that by referencing tradition and culture in fashion, art and the world around us, knitwear can thrive in the commercial world through rich textures and long lasting design.
