Birthmark is a new system of registration that aims to prevent victims of unfortunate circumstance into statelessness. Birthmark challenges the current setup of birth registration in Lebanon for Syrian refugees, and delivers its own service around data collection. It focuses on preventing any roadblocks naturally faced by refugees (in the current procedure) by classifying different tiers of information. Birthmark captures all sorts of relevant data from high to low accuracy in order to tell a new-born baby's life story, in hopes that one day all this data can be used to guarantee a child's right to a nationality.
