ALTERITY 2035 or The Modern Ship of Theseus

Following the art of Sashiko, Boro mending, Theseus's paradox and the 'Right to Repair' movement, what could happen if the mending model was translated to a vehicle?

What if we were to treat the breakage, including it as part of the object, rather than simply disguising it or discarding it entirely adding to waste and pollution?

We know that parts of who we are changes from year to year, but we still think we are the same people. Is it because of our parts? Our structure? Our history in the world? Our thoughts, feelings? Our souls?

Relating to human contrasts and dualities, the car's aggressive stance gives way to a modern silhouette. The idea was to translate the actual protective feat of my inspiration into a dynamic yet elegant form.

This vehicle is set to propose a new framework. Sustainable not through just the materials themselves, but through the use and relation we may have with them, exploring extreme ownership, long lasting, and focusing on craftsmanship, that which makes us who we are as individuals.

In the end, it is not really the years in life that count… it is the life in your years.
