Paradise found

I’ve mainly worked on the disintegration (and reconstruction) of the self, the body and the digital self. Highlighting the way we represent ourselves in the digital space and how it might impact our behaviour and the shaping of our persona. I’ve specially focused my work on my virtual character, creating an idealized version of myself composed of many parts of other bodies.

    Programme

    MA Photography, 2017

  • Lisa Carletta started her career in Fashion Photography before pursuing her Master of Fine Art at Royal College of Art.

Her practice can be characterised as consisting of a combination of photography, digital media and post production techniques to investigate ideas of the private, virtual and idealised self.

Considering the virtual body versus the physical, her work engages with discourses around the female body and representation of the self.
