Infinite Lines
Linglan’s work is inspired by science fiction films about Cyberpunk City; she wants to show her personal vision of the future through her use of patterns and materials. She wants to explore the dividing line between the natural world and synthetic world and how people see the future physically, mentally, emotionally or through high-tech facilities.

Modern and futuristic cities and architecture serve as the backdrop to Linglan’s ‘soft’ structures and modular patterns in 3D, where she can push material limits. She begins by exploring how to bend, stretch and stack sheet shapes and material sheet geometries in different ways and allows these structures a degree of movement. She then uses various techniques to create unexpected and joyful textures and patterns, which are inspired by the tangled density of Asian cities, and cyberpunk movies.
