The idea behind the project is to use gamification together with a superhero story in order to motivate children who suffer from chronic diseases. The first project is a nerf gun for children with cerebral palsy, to stimulate muscle training. I want to inspire children with cerebral palsy to use a toy gun which combines superhero gestures to encourage muscle training and eye-hand coordination. The second project is a diabetes education superhero kit. I want to use the Chinese legend of the Monkey King combined with a superhero role-playing kit which uses a CGM system to engage and educate children with type 1 diabetes. The purpose is to, through play, inspire children who suffer from chronic diseases to be more brave and positive when facing the chronic disease.
