MA work
I am in Zimbabwe. There is much sadness here but also moments of colour and happiness.
Abstracting and reconstructing. Large abstract flat shapes drawn from my photos of Zimbabwe are cut and draped into garments.
Embracing sustainable issues, found objects are reconstructed into new clothes. A vintage lace bed sheet becomes a dress, wool jumpers drape into crop jackets and a nylon sack for concrete is unravelled, its yarn used as decorative stitching.
