MA work

MA work

We read our environment like a book we know by heart. Changing an action that an object is used for changes the way it is being read. In my practice, I am trying to create a brief interruption to the fluent reading process by using elements of the familiar in an unexpected way. By creating a moment of suspension, I am encouraging a different story to emerge, a reading that is a query to the ways we continuously negotiate our place and space between one another.
