Midnight Gardening is a story about two people who gather in and around a greenhouse by midnight. Together they watch a film cut-up, starring Paul Newman, projected on one of the opaque interior walls. Both view the screening from opposite sides of the greenhouse, allowing them both to remain completely anonymous to one another. Through role-play, they escape into a world of fantasy, masking painful truths about their romantic engagements in the real world.
