By the time an average UK baby reaches two years old, he or she has already generated more carbon dioxide emissions than a person in Tanzania would generate in a lifetime. Procreation is one of the basic human needs, and it is the responsibility of parents to provide the best for their children, but is doing so at the expense of the planet the only way for humans to move forward?
The world consumes 3,000 nappies per second, and the UK alone ships nine million of them to landfill every single day. Is there anything we can do to change that?
