Digital screens are ubiquitous portals to the modern connected world. Smart phones and computers rely on screens to communicate their visual information. As we work our way through each new device, does the mystery of how these devices operate lower the value we place on them? My project explores new ways to realise the workings of digital displays. Through interactive installations, I describe the visual functions of frame-rate and resolution via mechanical action and physical motion.
