The abstract and discordant narrative of the ‘dream’
or ‘vision’ lends itself well to my drawings, which start to
make real what is very much imaginary and transient.
From the drawings, the idea of utilising alternative materials such as clay helps to affirm such narratives and act as commemorative pieces of work, inspired predominantly
by early Staffordshire figures.

Other pieces include work inspired by daily extracts from the Metro and the London Evening Standard. I react instinctively if an image is resonant, extracting and isolating it from its context, and re-presenting it.
