Brexit Recipes
Brexit Recipes is a project that combines food culture and politics while reframing narratives of migration to the UK. It was initiated with a supper event at the RCA (designed and organised in collaboration with Simon Knight) and finalised with the publication of a cookbook of 28 recipes from all member countries of the European Union. A collection of contributions from people living in Britain that combines personal stories, recipes and reflections on the recent political events. A positive perspective of coming together, as opposed to the rise of conflicts and nationalism.
An afternoon tea with freshly baked cookies was served each day as part of the installation for the final degree show.Â
