Alliances
Based on previous projects investigating dialogue, collaboration, the process of making and the exploration of materials, I have focused on how a conversation between two people can result in a creative outcome.
Alliances is a collaborative project, where I invited designers, illustrators and artists to work with me. Each person was chosen in relation to their practice and cultural background. Taking flags as symbols of what people stand for, the outcome of each collaboration is a flag that we both believe in and includes the opinions we share. However, these subjects reflect broader concerns in society today, such as relationships, culture, heritage, language and identity.

My work is both playful and conceptual, focused on the creative process and engagement with the audience. I am interested in the idea dialogue, either in the form of collaboration or in the work itself. Finding common ground between different people is both inviting and challenging. I am interested in exploring interactions in a physical space and creating experiences for the audience. The creative process is transformed into an interactive experience between myself, my colleagues and the public.
