Up or Down, The Quest to Find Life
A submarine drone consisting of an autonomous boat, paired with a tethered submarine. The boat tows the submarine and provides longÂdistance wireless communication to shore. The submarine is equipped with thrusters and a camera, which allow the user to control it via a live video and telemetry feed. The submarine is also equipped with mounting points for attachments to allow it to be used for research, fishing, and salvage. This robust system empowers everyone to readily explore aquatic environments, and brings back the Cousteau-era romance of ocean exploration.
