Landscapes of Gravity

In industrialised society it is easy to lose connection to your body, senses and awareness of nature in everyday surroundings.

Learned cultural behaviours define interactions with objects. Body - a seat that encourages primal synergy between objects and man as it lets the body and senses define the way its being used.

While man has domesticated nature, meeting points between material and the natural world have increased. The three-dimensional pattern printing technique Landscapes of Gravity visualises unrecognised meeting points between the material and natural world. This printing technique is dictated by gravity, water, and temperature revealing natural forces in our everyday environment.

  • My works visualise meeting points between the material and natural world. Exploring human condition through people's synergy with objects is my driving interest when creating objects. At this moment I'm fascinated with going beyond obvious imitations of nature and intend to capture nature's own voice and behaviour in a product. Believing in the possibility of connecting natural forces and mass production in a new way.
