LUMIO – Underwater Li-Fi communication system

LUMIO is a new underwater communication system based on the underwater visible light communication technology (Light-Fidelity). It is composed of water lumier, lumi mask, lumi bot and lumi sensor. It can realise the function of underwater wireless voice conversation and video sharing in real-time, and distinguish from the existing transmission methods by using cable as a medium.

LUMIO will greatly improve the efficiency of the underwater activities of divers, give people the ability to speak and share information underwater, and also bring about innovative underwater interaction between human and machine. Basically, LUMIO proposes the possibility that underwater communication networks might be built in the future as well. One hundred years ago, people invented the telephone to connect everyone in the world. One hundred years later, it’s time to use LUMIO to say, 'Hello, underwater world.'
