MA Critical Writing in Art & Design, 2014

  • My MA project is a suggestion for a book, a selection of essays about the subject of Parafiction Art – any act in which the artist  imitates, make believes, fakes or creates fictive stories, events, or people, which are then grounded in the world as it is being lived and are experienced by the viewer for different periods and reasons, as facts. I am interested in the language of Parafiction Art, and in the ability of this special practice to affect political scenarios in which specific truth values are enforced, by employing the aesthetic power of illusionism in real life.

I am an art critic, interested in art that challenge the way in which we perceive reality. I believe that art writing should always remain clear and true to, and of, its subject of criticism.
