RE- FORM

RE-FORM
( To break. To re-create )

We stand in reality, we exist in the world filled with imperfections and impermanence.

Imperfection and inconsistencies can enhance the appeal of a person, a place, a thing, an action or an idea.

"There is no excellent beauty that hath not some strangeness in the proportions."

 - Sir Francis Bacon

As a hat and eyewear designer, I am interested in building constructions by experimenting with the possibilities of materials and forms.

Through challenging the possibilities of the construction based on materiality, the technique of breaking, displacing and replacing both on the lenses and frame construction is reflective of the wearer's impermanent real life experience and fragility of the wider society.

Through these lenses.

You see a vision in a dream.

A fragmentation.

You see the world as it truly is.

All that solidity.

All that fragility.

  • As a Hat and Eyewear designer, I am interested in building constructions by experimenting with the possibilities of materials and forms.

The personal pleasure of making things appeals by using various "imperfection" techniques and approaches. This pleasure is a self-expression and a celebration of raw materiality, asymmetry and accidental beauty to reflect the aesthetic value of the presence of imperfection.
