Designers have the capability to directly impact and improve the quality of life; a part of improving people’s general well-being is giving them relevant information at relevant points in time, in different scenarios and contexts. Toward this end, the future of consumer electronics cannot just be within the context of the mobile phone and the information we receive on it. Any useful device must connect us to the real, tactile, social and experiential side of daily life.

My current project aims to address the future of the supermarket and show how cities can become more self reliant on what can be made and produced locally. 'Hyperlocal Market' encourages local food sales by connecting urban growers and producers with their local retailers and consumers. This platform fosters fair and professional trade through its Website, App and Tools. I enjoy tackling complex problems and finding new products and systems through research and collaborations with specialists. I envision working in consultancies and design studios to understand new products and services within the consumer electronics industry. I work in the context of the near future as technology is constantly changing – although the importance of designing for the far future should be remembered as well.
