Pause.

Text alerts, image updates, tagged photos, beeping oysters, clashing opinions, tweeted retweets, lights flashing, celebrity stalking, music clashes, recipe recommendations, cocktails shaking, headlights blinding, browser tabbing’s, news absorbing, song choosing, gifs flashing, youtube hopping, channel switching, paths crossing, trailer watching, lovers calling…

Is there any wonder I feel lost? On top of it all my brain just wants to make sense of what I’m supposed to be doing, but I can’t for the life of me get a minute of calm.

Pause is a collection of documents and curated experiences which unpick and evaluate the increasing importance of taking a minute.

  • My practice is ‘interactive illustration’. It is rooted in drawing and image making as a research medium. The outcomes engage participants in physical, workshop driven and experiential pieces.  Subject matter is driven by human relationships and the marriage of play and learning. Projects often use the language of science, and research is centred around ways in which we experience the world on a personal level.
