Civic Trust

‘Civic Trust’ challenges the political, social and ceremonial barriers that constitute the City of London Corporation at a time when the government and public are demanding a more ‘transparent’ running of the City. The project explores how architecture may be an agent in deconstructing these barriers.

By breaking down conventional and traditional territories into a series of ambiguous layers that blur the definitions between interior/exterior, public/private and building/city, the project connects the processes of civic life and administration, providing the public with an open stage on which to monitor the actions of the Corporation.
