Abstract Proportions
In the final project I'm exploring dynamic proportions of  texture, colour and shape. Inspired by paintings of Callum Innes,  Rebecca Salter's printmaking, as well as the photography of Saul Leiter and Hiroshi Sugimoto, I developed small sketches and collages into dyed, hand-painted and screen-printed compositions. Using bold marks contrasting with soft textures to create both tension and balance, combining modern materials like plastics with denim and silk to create a diverse collection.Â

In my two years at the Royal College of Art, I've further developed my interest in print techniques and materials. I would like to keep exploring the possibilities of hand-dyeing and printing techniques combined with modern digital techniques. I would love to work for a fashion label with an emphasis on textiles and develop a freelance practice, where I could consult on developing creative ideas and innovative use of pattern and colour. I’ve been lucky to work with some great clients and I hope to build up on those relationships while actively seeking new designers to work with.Â
