MA work

MA work

Technically, my work can be defined as stop-motion painting. Coming from a painting / drawing background, my urge is to find a middle ground between the animation process and the image-making process. The storytelling and movement in animation, and the intuitive and instinctive nature of the
mark-making process, are strengths that I intend to inject into my practice. The resulting footage is a visual expression of a stream of thoughts, emotions and ideas. In the editing process, the footage is evaluated and cut to communicate best the points expressed in the footage. The outcome is something unexpected.
