Julia Hauss

MA work

Can all online content be considered a performance? How can the online self be understood in relationship to the offline one?

Within my work I discuss the synthetic and staged nature of the online sphere. Destructive self-comparison and an overload of 'highlight' – moments have become the norm which affect our self-perception, social interaction and the relationships we build with ourselves and others.
