InHouse Records is the world's first fully functional record label to be launched in prison and created with and by prisoners. The label has the primary objective of reducing the recidivism rate. There are two components to the initiative; a learning and development platform (Continuum 100) that spans both inside and outside prison, and a record label InHouse Records, that has been incubated within Universal Records.
Since launching in September 2017, InHouse has expanded to four UK prisons, where positive behaviour has increased by 428%. There is a 100% engagement rate for participants of InHouse that are released from prison. InHouse is currently continuing to work with 5 Alumni out of prison and with the support of the Ministry of Justice will be releasing music for public consumption in 2018.
