Space, Multitude and Power; Visualising the City as a Site of Fear
A dominant aspect of contemporary life is the experience of a general ongoing fear about the state of the world. We could call this a collective fear. Collective fear can be visualised as a constellation; one that comes out of an entangling of events and memories, and can pass through time. With a range of artwork I explore the nature of the event, its aftermath and effects and ways in which we can react against the paralysis of fear.
Through practice-based research I unpick perceived notions of fear and consider my findings alongside art-making.
