The photographs that comprise Halfway to White touch upon the ambivalence, thickness and spectrality that white can embody or convey, through interferences, micro-textures and loss of coordinates. White is the matrix for an investigation of the variability of presence. White can be emergence, germination; it has also the potential to blind, to be an alert signal, to give forms to altered states of perception. White is essentially unsolved.
