MA work

This project started with a dissertation investigation into ‘how light affects one’s senses and an object’s shape and what are its possible influences on future vehicles?’ This project shows that light will become another important philosophical and aesthetic factor in car design, by using examples that show how light can be used in both interior and exterior, with colours and darkness, creating interaction between light and shadow. People in modern society enjoy visual pleasure and wealth through the multiplicity of light. It is natural for people’s sensibilities to develop as industries develop. However, I have always questioned what people ‘feel’ when light is reflected on or illuminates an object. So I decided to study that inner feeling, which is created when the light is reflected on an object in different conditions, in various fields, how closely light is associated with our everyday activity and, finally, to investigate the relationship between light and cars and the possible influences light can bring to a car.
