White fox
The cult classic Who Killed Teddy Bear? (1967) provides the inspiration for my collection. Juliet Prowse plays Nora, a deejay and hostess at a sleazy midtown nightclub, who starts to receive obscene phone calls. Nora is gradually terrorised by sex psycho Sal Mineo. Despite being banned, the film offers an exploration of pornography and inter-family relations and provides a vintage tour of NYC's adult shops in which Prowse struts around wearing an overwhelming hooded fur coat. Within my collection, each garment is like a revived 'Teddy Bear', remodeled from its own ingredients - toy 'furs', glass 'eyes', 'noses' and 'paw' mittens combined with 'ear' floppy silhouettes.
