Just Check - Supported HIV self-testing for everyone

Just Check is a supported HIV self-testing service that reduces barriers to testing, helping to prevent late diagnosis.

In 2015, 39% of all new diagnoses of HIV were late, meaning the virus had already considerably attacked people’s immune system. Research shows if diagnosis is late, people are three times more likely to pass on the infection, their care costs double for each year after diagnosis and it causes 89% of AIDS related deaths.

Current self-testing technology offers autonomy and discretion but can be too intimidating for some people and often leaves them feeling isolated and anxious.

This service combines the opportunities offered by self-testing with a more supportive experience and increases promotion into communities which are prone to diagnosing late. Ultimately reducing the barriers to testing.
