On End[s]
On End[s] consists of three discrete components: a looping video animation on mirrored screens ("Recite Lipsum Corpus"), two freestanding 'autocues' streaming meditations on pleasure and pain algorithmically-generated from a recurrent neural network ("Generate Lipsum Corpus"), and a well-worn 1914 edition of Cicero's De Finibus, with all but two pages replaced with refreshed, multi-sourced lorem ipsum text ("Return Lipsum Corpus").

Flato investigates the ways in which 'site' is mediated, multiplied, and manipulated through language and technology, creating research-based, iterative projects through which the tensions and thresholds of these interplays are made visible.Â
Her materials include maps, text, voice, and algorithms; variable outcomes span experimental micro-organizations, essays, social media series, digital videos, sculptures, and installations.
She employs the neologism syn-site as a syntactical tool in these pursuits.
