Journey to the Centre of the Earth

My inspiration comes from the story  Journey to the Centre of the Earth. I imagined this story as if it were written by Joan Fontcuberta, the famous photographer.

The story is mainly about fauna and fanciful animals.  I was looking at freaks in the unknown world. I made images of my own freaks using leather stamps. My intention was to express various types of fanciful animals from his work metaphorically, imagined through intricate details with various coloured materials and fastening parts. I focused on the silhouette and material for the final collection, making garment shapes with a volume which also related to the symbol of freaks.
