Touching the Surface
My work is focused on how the body, the self and the domestic
environment is represented and mediated through print-based media. I'm
particularly interested in using the scanner as a camera, and
reprocessing analogue forms into digital. By combining various methods
of printmaking in my work I seek to challenge the perceived boundaries
between the material and the virtual. I'm interested in how Print can
bind people and communities together through a process of visual/haptic
exchange, and how creative applications of digital image-making can
positively contribute to the human experience.
